Indoor environmental quality, especially thermal comfort, is a crucial aspect of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system performance. This study addresses the challenge of accurately capturing thermal dynamics in current test rig designs. The primary objective is to enhance the thermal test rig's design by implementing specific modifications and analysing their impact on the thermal behaviour of tested chambers. The research focuses on improvements in ducting design, design positioning and mixing boxes. An experimental approach is utilized to assess the modifications. The study aims to improve the rig's performance and ensure reliable replication of specified thermal conditions. The results demonstrate significant enhancements in the test rig’s efficiency and provide valuable insights into the thermal dynamics within the chambers following the modifications.
